What we do
SL Copywriting is an independent copywriting agency based in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique. We write for businesses that need copy that does a specific job: convert visitors, convince buyers, explain complex products, or give a brand a consistent voice across all its communications.
We work in English and French. Bilingual projects are not translated: they are written separately for each audience. An English-speaking reader and a French-speaking reader do not share the same references, conventions, or expectations. We account for that.
We have been based in Nantes since 2021. All projects are delivered digitally. We work with clients across France and internationally.
Our approach
Brief first
We do not start writing until we understand the audience, the goal, and the context. A clear brief almost always produces a better result faster than a vague one.
Arguments, not filler
Every sentence must earn its place. Copy that describes instead of convinces, that fills space instead of moving the reader forward, is not copy. It is noise.
Readable = effective
The most sophisticated copy is the kind the reader does not notice because it flows too naturally. Complexity is not a good reason to make something hard to read.
